Authenti-Corp is honored to announce the NIJ-TSA Iris Recognition Study 2006, IRIS06, which will focus on "Standards-Based Performance and User Cooperation Studies of Commercial Iris Recognition Products".

The goals of IRIS06 are to:
  • Evaluate the performance and interoperability of iris recognition products using the international iris image data interchange format standard (ISO/IEC 19794-6) and the US Biometric Application Programming Interface standard (ANSI INCITS 358-2002, BioAPI 1.1), and

  • Investigate the influence of test subject presentation parameters, such as pose and eye-gaze angles, on the ability of iris recognition technology to acquire and recognize non-ideal iris images.
IRIS06 will be conducted in compliance with ISO/IEC 19795, Biometric Performance Testing and Reporting, using a BioAPI 1.1 test harness to interface with each product. The IRIS06 final report will be publicly disseminated free of charge. Product names will not be published in the final report; each product will be identified by a letter, such as Product A, Product B, etc. Following publication of the final report, participants may choose to publicly identify their product and may use the test results (with attribution) for their own purposes.
